The Fort Vancouver Rose Society will hold its 65th Annual Rose Show, "65 Years of Rose Memories." This event is the largest rose show in the state of Washington and the second largest in the country. Exhibits of the most beautiful roses grown in the Northwest--hybrid teas, floribundas, grandifloras, old garden roses, miniatures and mini-floras--will be on display along with arrangements of large roses and miniatures. Highlights include guided tours, a rose care workshop and much more.

Alice in Chains
Alice in Chains is an influential grunge group formed by lead singer Layne Staley (1967-2002). Along with Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, Alice in Chains is one of the most commercially successful bands from the Seattle, Washington, grunge music scene. Unlike many of their peers, Alice in Chains owed more to heavy metal than to punk or '70s rock, but the group became closely associated with grunge due to their Seattle roots, the image they often presented by their attire, as well as with their introspective and sometimes morbid lyrics.

Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival
The Festival’s 2018 season will run from June 6 to September 22. The 29th season’s Shakespeare plays will include two all-time audience favourites and a provocative reimagining of a rarely-produced drama. Also on the bill, a Greek classic, adapted to add a local, contemporary twist. Plays include: As You Like It, Macbeth, Timon of Athens, and Lysistrata.

Bard on the Beach’s Young Shakespeareans Summer Theatre Camps and Teen Workshops
The camp and workshop sessions begin July 3 and run through to August 31, 2018. Children and teens from ages 8 to 18 will receive coaching by professional actors from Bard on the Beach, and perform some of Shakespeare’s most beloved works. Beach House is a Baltimore two-piece dream pop, indie-rock band formed in 2004 by Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand. Their dreamy sound is similar to Mazzy Star and Nico. In 2006 they were named the 16th best album of the year by Pitchfork Media.
